Bach was a good husband and father, made good money and was very economical. Interestingly, Johann loved falling asleep to music.The great composer remained faithful to God and the church until the end of his days, and even on his deathbed dictated the requiem "I am going to Your throne," which will later become a choir. He died in a modest setting; Bach’s grave was not even designated. When he died, the protocol of the master of Leipzig read: "Among the others, the cantor of the Thomas school died."
