Louis Silvie Zamperini kept his promise to God and dedicated his life to Christian ministry. Louis was converted at one of Billy Graham crusade and he gave his life to Christ. Later Zamperini became a Christian minister. Forgiveness was the main theme of his sermons. In 1950 he visited Japan as a minister. The purpose of his visit was to meet the prison guards who had abused him. Louis wanted to let them know that he had forgiven them. Many of them were imprisoned in Sugamo Prison in Tokyo. When the colonel ordered every prisoner who recognized Zamperini to step forward, Louis hugged all of them and gave everyone the New Testament.
