James Joule, founder of thermodynamics.

James Joule, founder of thermodynamics.
Joule is a famous English physicist. A unit of energy is named after him.James Joule was born in 1818 in the family of a wealthy brewer in the city of Salford, near Manchester. Due to a spinal illness, James was forced to get an education at home. The Joule family was rich, and for a boy under 15 years old, parents invited experienced teachers, one of whom was the famous teacher John Dalton. It was this illustrious inventor who had a great influence on James Joule, who would later write: “It was as a result of his training that I had the desire to increase my knowledge through research."
The future inventor worked at the factory with his father and at the same time nibbled on granite of science. James organized a small laboratory at home, and at the age of 19 began his first research. From 1840 to 1843, the scientist experimentally studied the electromagnetic phenomenon, looking for the best way to study electric tones. Under the influence of Michael Faraday, Joule began to study the thermal effects of current, which led to the discovery of the law, which is now called the Joule-Lenz law.
