The founder of The Walt Disney Company received 22 Oscars, becoming the absolute record holder. He directed 111 films and produced 576 films. Disney created the first sound musical cartoon in the history of cinema, as well as the first full-length animated film.
From a young age, Walt Disney got used to hard work; at 14, he already worked as a postman. During World War I, Walt served as a driver of an ambulance car of the International Red Cross in France for a year. In 1920, Disney got a job as an artist at a movie advertising studio, where he began his work in the field of animation drawing. And soon after that he created his first animation studio.
In 1923, Walt moved to Los Angeles, where he and his brother created The Walt Disney Company. It was in this small animation studio that Mickey Mouse was born. For the first time, the world-famous mouse appeared in the movie "Crazy Airplane" (1928). In the first tapes, Disney himself voiced Mickey Mouse.Over time, other cartoon characters appear: the dog Pluto (1930), the dog Goofy (1932), as well as Donald Duck (1904). In 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was released. The cartoon became very popular and brought the company $ 8 million. Later, well-known cartoons came out one by one: Pinocchio, Bambi, Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book and many others.
In 1925, he marries his studio secretary, Lillian Bounds. Over time, they have a daughter, Diane Mary, and in 1937 the Disney couple adopted the girl Sharon May. The great animator was a good family man and devoted all his free time to his family. Often he cooked and walked with the children.
It was during these walks that he came up with the idea to create a place where it would be interesting for both children and adults.
